Empowering Educators, Inspiring Students

At Millgate Education, we collaborate with teachers and educators worldwide to create original, engaging, and high-quality STEM resources. We believe that science should be a journey of discovery, and we are passionate about cross-curricular learning that brings stories to life in the classroom.

Our Mission

We aren’t just making worksheets; we’re building a community. Our goals are simple:

  • Spark Inspiration: We share insights for specialists, non-specialists, and students alike. We’re here to support every individual learning journey and prove that learning can (and should!) be fun.
  • Quality You Can Trust: Every resource we publish is edited by science experts and fellow teachers. We ensure everything is factual, relevant, and up-to-date.
  • Bringing Science to Everyone: We’re on a mission to take science beyond the classroom. By making complex ideas easy to understand, we help people of all ages feel confident, curious, and involved in the world of STEM, because a scientifically curious public builds a better future for everyone!

Our Story: A Legacy of Innovation

In December 2024, L & M Education Ltd, led by Laura Townsend, proudly acquired Millgate House Education from the Association for Science Education (ASE).

As the former Publication Manager at ASE, Laura is committed to maintaining our strong partnership with the Association while driving Millgate forward with fresh, exciting materials.

A Look Back… Originally established in 1996 by Brenda Keogh and Stuart Naylor, Millgate House became known in education thanks to the world-renowned Science Concept Cartoons. These simple, clever drawings changed the game by sparking deep discussions and helping students tackle common science misconceptions.

While Brenda sadly passed away in 2013, her incredible legacy continues to influence and support educators across the globe today. We are proud to carry that torch into the future.
