The £1000 Challenge 2026: Terms & Conditions
1. The Promoter
The promoter is L & M Education Ltd (Company No. 16071236), trading as Millgate (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”).
2. Eligibility

The competition is open to teachers, educators, and staff members of educational institutions within the United Kingdom.

Eligible institutions include, but are not limited to, Community Schools, Academies, Free Schools, Grammar Schools, Special Schools, Faith Schools, Private Schools, FE Colleges, and Universities.

Entrants must be aged 18 or over.
3. Competition Period

Closing Date: The competition closes for entries at 23:59 on Saturday, 31st January 2026.

Any entries received after this time will not be considered.

Winner Announcement: Winners will be selected and notified by Monday, 6th April 2026.
4. How to Enter

To enter, participants must complete “The £1000 Challenge: Your Vision, Their Future 2026 Survey” in full via the official online form at www.millgatehouse.co.uk/the-1000-challenge

Only one entry per person is permitted.

By submitting the survey, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
5. The Prizes

First Prize: £1,000 for the winner’s school/institution to be spent on the educational ideas/projects shared in the survey submission.

Runner-up Prizes: Two winners will each receive a bundle of Millgate educational resources and books with a retail value of £250.

Prizes are non-transferable, and no cash alternative is available. The £1,000 prize must be used for the educational purposes specified in the entry.
6. Winner Selection and Notification

Winners will be selected by a panel of judges based on the quality, originality, and potential impact of the ideas submitted.

The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection process.

Winners will be notified via the email address provided during entry. If a winner does not respond within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize and select a replacement winner.
7. Intellectual Property & Use of Submissions

By entering, you grant L & M Education Ltd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, adapt, and publish the ideas and suggestions submitted (anonymously or otherwise) for marketing, research, or resource development purposes.

All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe on the rights of any third party.
8. Data Protection

Any personal data submitted will be processed in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and our Privacy Policy.

Data will be used for the administration of this competition and, where you have opted in, for marketing communications.
9. General

We reserve the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God, or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation.

L & M Education Ltd accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault or service interruption.
