Amazonas Comics celebrate the Amazon with fun-filled stories, games and information pages.

This is a great resource for introducing children to a diversity of subjects, including animal varieties, prey and predators, adaptation to environments and the impact of human activity on the environment.

These comics are the perfect way to introduce your class to the wonders of the Amazon and get them thinking about how we can protect not only this unique environment, but the wonderful planet Earth that we call home.

The children were very excited – they love having a range of reading material.

They immediately made links to the work we had done previously. We are currently running a club around the issue of conservation with students from Nottingham Trent University and use this extra material to back up this work.

Over the last four years, I have used Amazonas comics to inspire children in my classes. The comics have enabled children to explore the Amazon rainforests in a way that is accessible and meaningful to them. 

Children in KS1 and KS2 have used the comicsto develop their understanding of the Amazon rainforests. 

I have used Amazonas to successfully teach concepts from rainforest structure through to animal adaptation.

The comic is brilliant for inspiring writing in English, artwork and as a resource for teaching science too.
