I was at a course in Inverness on Saturday where Stuart was presenting, and I would like to say how fantastic his presentation was. I was speaking with head teachers in the ASG to think about arranging in service training. Thanks very much for an inspirational session.

Carbon Smarts Conference – October 2011
Thank you for your patience, persistence, and engaging presentation. Everyone seemed to really like your presentation. It was perfectly timed as the previous session had discussed many of the principles of communication that the CC illustrates. Again, thanks for participating yesterday and sharing the work on the Science Underground and your work today. I know your ideas were well received.

SSERC residential – October 2011
I just wanted to say a huge thank you! Your brilliant workshop was inspirational. So many of the delegates commented on how it has made them question their own current classroom practice. They also mentioned that they will reflect on the points and questions raised during the workshop when promoting science enquiry with their own classes.

NCETM CPD Standard – Light touch Monitoring visit – September 2011
I am confirming the positive features we reported following the session and these were that:
• the head teachers and teachers of the three schools were very pleased that what they had expected was being delivered, and more
• the head teacher of the host school spoke very positively about the impact your earlier provision (for the Gipping Valley Partnership) had made on his Subject Leader. She had ‘cascaded’ this work in her school and the head teacher was sure that these approaches had contributed noticeably to this school’s improved KS2 mathematics results in summer 2011
• during the session observed there was a very good rapport between the teachers, and the teachers and the tutor
• teachers had gained confidence to try new things following the previous session and reported back to each other with obvious enthusiasm

South Africa – ASTE Conference July 2011
On behalf of the SAASTE national committee, I would like to say a very warm thank you for your willingness to present at the SAASTE national conference. I can safely say that your presentation was the highlight of the conference. You skilfully managed to pitch your presentation at a level that accommodated all teachers. We look forward to hosting you in the future.
