About Us

Millgate House Education was established in 1996 by Brenda Keogh and Stuart Naylor. Since then it has gained a national and international reputation as a source of original ideas for teaching and learning, research, high quality professional development and consultancy, as well as making a significant contribution to projects to promote public involvement in science. Although Brenda passed away in 2013, she leaves a lasting legacy that continues to influence the work of Millgate House Education.

Millgate House Education is an international publisher of teaching resources and provider of continuing professional development. Based in Cheshire, England we work with teachers all over the world to provide ideas, insight and inspiration for learners age 4 – 16. Our books and CD-ROMs cover English, maths, science, music, history and geography. We also produce sheet music for choirs.

Millgate House Education is a limited company that is wholly owned by an Employee Trust.

The team at Millgate House Education also work in partnership with a number of educational companies to support educators in the UK and further afield. Millgate House Education are currently working with Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM), an award scheme to enable primary schools across the UK to evaluate, strengthen and celebrate their science provision. Schools can achieve bronze, silver and gold awards. You can find out more about PSQM here.
