Enhancing teaching, assessment and learning in primary schools through Concept Cartoons

When I used these strategies more pupils talked. But the point is they are talking about what we are learning about and not toys or what they are doing at the weekend!! (First school teacher, Suffolk)

When I used the Concept Cartoons for assessment I couldn’t stop them learning. (Science leader, Durham)

Concept Cartoons are an accessible and motivating approach to teaching and learning in science and mathematics. The Concept Cartoon project, underpinned by many years of research, has had a significant impact in schools around the world. This interactive and engaging course illustrates why, when and how to use Concept Cartoons. It offers access to a deceptively simple strategy for getting children thinking and talking that will have a big impact on developing their understanding and on teaching, learning and assessment in your organisation. The course will give you an opportunity to explore what underpins good teaching in science, mathematics and English. Just like children, you may find that you identify some wobbly bits of your subject knowledge and develop these in a non-threatening way.

Concept Cartoon resources are available at a discounted price to support this course.
